Happy Goal Month!
Let me start with this question...
How are you feeling today?
Positively GREAT!
Doing good.
Hanging in there.
Wishing the day was OVER!
Next, I want you to take some deep breaths.
Breath IN. Breath OUT.
Can you do that 5 times for me?
GOOD!
Now, let's get to the CTA...
CALL-TO-ACTION
WRITE IN YOUR GOAL NOTEBOOK/JOURNAL AT LEAST ONCE A DAY FOR THE NEXT 35 DAYS!
Are you already in the habit of writing things down?
If so, GOOD JOB!
If not, this is a good time to start.
It's a simple change that can have a big impact on your life.
Writing things down is an effective and useful habit, but honestly, it can be challenging to maintain. If I don't write my important thoughts down immediately, they fly out of my head. Most times I feel like I don't have the time to write.
Do you feel this way sometimes?
Here are 5 Goal Enhancers that will help you write things down more often:
1) Carry a Notebook - One of the easiest ways to write things down more often is to carry a notebook with you wherever you go. It could be a physical book or a digital note-taking app, just having a place to store down your thoughts and ideas can help you stay organized and focused. This is the perfect place to put your goal to-do list, meeting notes, or brainstorming new ideas. Whichever one you choose, just use it daily! (I use BOTH! I have a business journal that fits perfectly in my bag. I also use the Notes or Voice Memo app my iPhone. This comes in handy for times when I'm not near my notebook or I just don't feel like writing. I record my thoughts via text or audio. Then later, I transfer those thoughts to my journal.")
2) Use a Planner - Another way to write things down more often is to use a planner. A planner is a great tool to keep track of your schedule and plan your day. It’s a big help when it comes to scheduling your time accordingly. (I use my planner to write down my weekly meetings, project deadlines, and goal tasks. When I misplace my planner and/or don't use my digital calendar, I get out-of-sink off & don't remember ANYTHING! It really helps you stay on track and avoid procrastination.)
3) Make Lists - Lists can help you stay organized & focused and they can also be a great way to prioritize your tasks. Making lists helps to break down large tasks into smaller, more manageable ones. This is the right path to get goals accomplished. (I luv making lists! I make lists for EVERYTHING, from grocery shopping to client projects to long-term goals.)
4) Start Journaling - Journaling is another excellent way to write things down more often. Journaling can help you process your thoughts and emotions, reflect on your experiences, and track your progress toward your goals. It's a great way to connect with yourself and gain insight into your life. You can journal every day or whenever you feel like you need to release your emotions or express your thoughts. (Journaling helps me process my thoughts & emotions, reflect on and track my goal progress. I admit that I don't do it daily but I'm conditioning myself to get there.)
5) Set Reminders - Setting reminders can be an effective way to write things down more often. You can set reminders on your phone or computer to remind you to write down important information or ideas. This can help you avoid forgetting important tasks or ideas and ensure that you stay on track with your goals. (I use the alarm on my phone to remind me to rewrite the AI notes from my meetings. If I have a meeting that ends at 5pm, I'll set my alarm for 5:20pm. This gives me time to take a quick bathroom break or grab a snack before my writing session starts.)
Writing things down is a simple yet powerful practice that can have a significant impact on your life. Whether you're taking notes, journaling, or making lists, putting pen to paper can help you improve your memory, reduce stress, increase productivity, and accomplish your goals. Remember, this month's CALL-TO-ACTION is to:
WRITE IN YOUR NOTEBOOK OR JOURNAL AT LEAST ONCE A DAY FOR THE NEXT 35 DAYS!
You can choose to write WHATEVER you want! Whether business ideas, weekly goals, brain dumps, or reflecting on your emotions, take at least 15 minutes each day to WRITE. This can be just what you need to progress in your business, self-care, or even personal goals!
